Our Montessori kindergarten which is headquartered in Hangzhou is now seeking additional positive, warm-hearted and patient teachers to join our supportive team. You will be leading either one of two classes which is divided between IC class for 1.5 to 3 year olds and Casa class for 3 to 6 year olds. Developing our children’s English ability is only a portion of your task since a great emphasis is placed on character development. While using various themes to aid the student’s early language cognition you will also encourage free thinking, self-reliance, independence, creativity and care of others. We were founded in 2003 and in addition to the headquarter school; we also have more than 20 schools between Zhejiang, Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangxi and Shanghai. Teach English in Hangzhou

In addition to being the headquarters of internet giant Alibaba, it is home to the Most famous picturesque West Lake, elected as a National Key Scenic location due to its historical and cultural significance and many temples, pagodas, ponds and plants.

Main Responsibilities

-40 hours per week from Monday to Friday

-Saturday and Sunday weekends off work

-Students ages: IC classes are 1.5 to 3 years old and Casa classes are 3 to 6 years old

-Class sizes: 15 to 18 in IC class and 25 to 35 in Casa class

-Teachers may be required to work for activities/outing/parents academy on weekends no more than 4 times per year

-Ensure equal participation of all students according to level of development by creating an an atmosphere that fosters initiative, encourages independence and protects the child’s freedom to choose

-Plan and implement weekly lessons, following the Monthly Themes, Yearly Theme according to the school curriculum

-Participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences to talk with parents regarding their children’s English language progress in detail such as characteristics, interests, concentration, work choices, social development, sense of order, fine motor and gross motor movement and level of comprehension of concepts

-Attend all regularly scheduled school professional development days and other staff events

Compensation

-Excellent salary: 15,000 to 20,000 RMB per month (approx. 2,100 to 2,800 USD per month)

-Flight allowance of 5000 RMB provided at the end of the year (approx. 700 USD)

-Housing allowance of 3000 RMB per month

-Performance bonus up to 500 RMB per month

-Sponsored legal ‘Z’ work visa and health check costs

-Airport pickup and 1000 RMB for arrival accommodation

-11 Chinese National holidays plus 2-week holidays in summer (1 week paid) and 2-week holidays in

winter(1week paid)

-1 Chinese teacher and 1 life assistant (cleaning, restroom, etc.) provided

-Lunch provided during workdays

-All teaching materials, resources, curriculum, training and support provided

-Native English speaker (USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia)

-Bachelor degree (no restriction on major)

-Two years teaching experience with 2 to 6 year olds

-Bachelor degree (education related)

-No teaching experience required
